Join us for a lively “Planting Party!” at the Children’s Magical Garden, kicking off the first day of “Sprouting Justice”! Kids of all ages are invited to come inside the garden to plant seeds and nurture young plants, all while enjoying upbeat music and festive activities. Afterward, immerse yourself in the sounds of "Human Records," a dynamic NYC collective that showcases and celebrates the global rhythms of our city through live music. Come grow, play, and feel the beat with us!

Come by our Sprouting Justice Open Street Event this weekend to plant and water beautiful flowers and herbs in our garden! Then, join us in doing yoga and dance while surrounded by our mulberry trees. Finally, celebrate our director Aresh’s birthday with songs and (watermelon) cake!

On Saturday, we will be hosting a fashion event in partnership with local designers and sustainable & organic brands! Screen print shirts with us and support local performers as we listen to groovy music! On Sunday, join us in singing and sending our love to all our world’s children!

Green Reads

Environmental and social justice book reading for children - Join our weekly nature and community-based story and crafting time. Read books that explore environmental and social justice issues and participate in discussions and activities that help us take action and make a positive impact on our communities and the planet.

• Book Club: Host a book club where participants can read and discuss environmental books.

• Action Items: Provide participants with action items related to the topics discussed in the book club to encourage them to take action on environmental issues.

Mulberry Festival, Food Justice

Join us for a celebration of mulberries! Learn how to make superfood concoctions such as mulberry jam, smoothies, ice cream, kombucha, cakes, and more. Discover the health benefits of mulberries and the importance of supporting local food systems.

• Mulberry Jam Making: Organize a jam-making workshop where participants can learn how to make mulberry jam using locally sourced mulberries. Participants can take home their jam and share it with friends and family.

• Mulberry Smoothie Station: Set up a smoothie station where people can blend their own mulberry smoothies using fresh mulberries and other locally sourced fruits and vegetables.
